Operations
One of the largest divisions in the Firm, Operations is the first line of defense for Morgan Stanley's financial and reputational well-being and essential in delivering value. Operations is responsible for correctly settling and recording millions of transactions per day, identifying and mitigating operational risk, developing strong client relationships and partnering with technology to realize the full potential of IT and Automation. Primary Responsibilities
As a prompt engineer lead supporting Artificial Intelligence (AI) initiatives within Morgan Stanley, your main responsibilities will revolve around empowering AI solutions within our Operations business units. You will play a pivotal role in the education, intake, and development of AI-powered applications. Collaborating closely with Technology teams, you will be integral in enabling AI into product roadmaps. Once projects are successful, your role will extend to monitoring results and ensuring the sustained quality of our AI capabilities
Develop and Refine Context-Aware Prompts: Create and optimize prompts that are contextually aware, tailored to various use cases, domains, and user intent. Focus on enhancing the accuracy and relevance of AI-generated outputs.
Ensure Prompt Integration: Integrate prompts seamlessly with the existing technical infrastructure, ensuring they effectively meet specific business needs and contribute to operational efficiency.
Develop and Maintain Testing Framework: Establish and uphold a robust framework for testing and evaluating Generative AI (GenAI) outputs. This includes managing comprehensive test sets and human evaluation processes to ensure high-quality Language Model (LLM) output.
Identify and Troubleshoot Issues: Monitor and identify issues and anomalies in LLM model outputs. Provide feedback and recommendations for improving and optimizing the solutions.
Scale AI Products for Operations: Work on scaling AI products to support operational functions, ensuring they are adaptable and effective in various scenarios.
Maintain and Govern Prompt Library: Maintain and oversee a prompt library, ensuring it is organized, accessible, and continuously updated with refined prompts.
Lead Prompt Engineering Education: Lead efforts in educating and upskilling the general operations population on the framework for prompting. Develop training materials and conduct workshops to enhance prompt engineering skills across the team. Skills that You Bring

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $120,000 and $173,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
