The nature of this role means you can expect to be onsite up 4-5 days PW for this opportunity, connected to our Rolle office, with some flexibility for home working.

Your mission

Reporting to the Senior Director, Supply Chain and in close partnership with the Distribution & Logistics Manager, you will oversee the continuous improvement and drive operational efficiencies in our international distribution processes. From our Rolle, CH Headquarters we dispatch molecular biological reagents in the cold chain to our customers & partners globally.

The value you bring

  • Review the end to end journey of products and process for distribution and supply of our products internationally.
  • Define the optimal processes for distribution, Import, export and delivery of products across each territory and build a roadmap for implementation success.
  • Identify third-party partners and carriers to support international & global delivery.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across Sales Order Desk, Supply Chain, Sales and Customer Success to ensure a seamless, customer experience and efficient delivery & dispatch process.

Requirements

  • 4+ Years direct working experience driving operational efficiencies and process improvement within global distribution & logistics, with knowledge of international best practices
  • Further matrixed experience across other supply chain functions valuable, but experience solely within supply chain alone not suitable.
  • Direct experience with the distribution and storage of products within the cold chain is essential, including frozen, refrigerated and dry ice. Experience only in ambient products is not suitable.
  • Knowledge of customs, import, export and shipping documentation for medical/pharmaceutical products valuable.
  • Exposure to products distributed through Air, with relevant regulations knowledge (I.e. IATA Standards)
  • Knowledge of ERP Systems is mandatory, ideally Dynamics.
