Power BI Developer (ICT TECH CB 2025 06R)

We’re looking for a talented and detail-oriented Power BI Developer to join our Data and MI team. In this role, you’ll collaborate with stakeholders across multiple departments to understand their data needs, translate requirements into actionable insights, and deliver impactful Power BI reporting solutions that drive informed decision-making.

You’ll work closely with analysts, engineers, and business users to transform complex datasets into clear, compelling visual narratives. The ideal candidate is consultative, a natural problem-solver, and genuinely enjoys empowering others through data and visualisation.

The Role

As a Power BI Developer, you will:

• Develop, design and prepare management reports, dashboards and analysis for all levels across the business
• Liaise with teams to develop innovative/creative solutions to help solve issues or identify opportunities where better use of data brings additional value
• Training of users where beneficial and monitoring usage of existing dashboards and reports
• Visualise information in an easy-to-understand manner that tells a great data-driven story
• Production of new BI solutions and data streams within agreed project timelines
• Stay current with new Power BI features, Microsoft Fabric, and BI best practices
• Act as a technical specialist, support and advise the wider business as appropriate

The Requirements

Essential skills:

• 2+ years of hands-on experience with Power BI, delivering high-impact dashboards and reports
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to present data in a clear, meaningful way
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Proficiency in Power Query (M Language) and DAX
• Good SQL skills, with knowledge of data warehousing and ETL/ELT processes
• Experience gathering reporting requirements and translating them into dashboards and reports
• Ability to communicate complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Strong attention to detail to ensure data accuracy and quality
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Confident presentation to stakeholders and running end-user training sessions
• Familiarity with project delivery tools such as Azure DevOps and experience working within project timelines

Desirable:

• Understanding of Fabric architecture and how it integrates Power BI, Synapse, and other Microsoft data services
• Knowledge of data management practices including governance and security and quality metadata management integration with Microsoft Purview
• Familiarity with Dataflows Gen2, Notebooks, and Pipelines within the Fabric ecosystem
• Awareness of Fabric licensing models, workspace roles and deployment best practices
• Relevant Microsoft certifications such as PL-300 (Power BI Data Analyst Associate) or DP-600 (Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate) are a plus
• Experience with other Power Platform products, Power Apps and Power Automate
