Overview 

We currently are looking to add a Data Analyst to the team.  This position will support a product team with various data analysis and reporting tasks.  They will also help manage projects, relationships and prioritization with product owners across the organization.  This role will be required to utilize SQL within an AWS environment and may be work with external sources, including other databases, manual files, and external websites.  You may also be tasked to analyze data and reports to monitor trends, product and feature launches and work with product owners to identify areas of improvement through data and reporting.  Position will also assist in investigating issues with operations teams identifying metrics and KPIs to foster improvements our products and services.  

Duties & Responsibilities 

  • Performing data collection, as well as the identification, processing, cleansing, and verifying the integrity of data from a myriad of sources 
  • Work seamlessly within cross functional teams, gathering detailed reporting requirements for projects and ad-hoc requests
  • Executing data extraction including script writing for data mining and analytics 
  • Building of scalable, flexible data models 
  • Conducting ad-hoc analyses and presenting results in a clear manner 
  • Creating insightful data visualizations and compelling data views 
  • Present information and findings to their manager and or directly up to executive leadership
  • Familiarity working in large, enterprise environment with many cross functional teams 
  • Communicating with stakeholders in a professional, succinct manner 
  • Detail-oriented, well-organized, and an ability to work independently 

Requirements

Desired Skills and Experience 

  • Familiarity and experience within the Internet/ WiFi technologies and or Telecom domain a plus
  • Proficient in SQL / AWS Athena environment including the ability to write complex SQL queries, table joins and common table expressions (CTE)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis features 
  • Proficiency in statistical methods, including hypothesis testing, regression analysis, and probability, to draw meaningful conclusions from data.  Can identify important metrics and KPIs related for business and or WiFi technology performance
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as Python and R for statistical and data analysis a plus
  • Proficient with project lifecycles - Participates in projects from inception to end, working with project stakeholders to write detailed reporting requirements and deliver on reporting milestones during the project lifecycle.
  • Proficient with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, Pivot or other reporting/visualization tools
  • Familiarity with Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence

 

Soft Skills:

  • Ability to work individually and in both small and large group settings which may include working cross functionally across the organization
  • Strong communication and presentation skills are necessary as we work closely with product owners and executive leadership
  • Strong organizational and time management skills required with ability to set prioritization and multitask to complete tasks on time

 

Education/Certifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree or commensurate experience necessary

Compensation

For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in Colorado, Sand Cherry Associates is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to the State of Colorado and takes into account a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and delivery model. This is a 6 month consulting engagement, with an hourly range of $55-60/hour on 1099. Years of experience, level of education, geographic location, unique skills/qualifications for the specific role and potential certifications can be key factors in the final compensation for this role.
