We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Data Integration Engineer to join our Business Intelligence team on a 3-Month Fixed Term Contract. In this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining robust, scalable, and secure data integration solutions. Your work will ensure the accuracy and reliability of data across platforms and support business reporting and analytics initiatives.
You will collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to translate business requirements into efficient data workflows and pipelines, using modern tools and best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, maintain, and document ETL/ELT pipelines with a focus on data completeness, accuracy, and fault tolerance.
  • Contribute to building and maintaining a scalable, high-performance Data Warehouse to support cross-functional analytics.
  • Utilize tools like DBT, Astronomer, and Airflow to orchestrate data workflows and transformations.
  • Implement data security and privacy best practices throughout all integration workflows.
  • Ensure proper versioning, CI/CD, testing, and code reviews in pipeline development.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to capture and translate requirements into technical specifications.
  • Communicate outcomes of technical projects clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in a Data Engineering or Integration Engineering role.
  • Proficiency in creating ETL/ETL pipelines and writing complex and efficient SQL for data transformation and analytics.
  • Hands-on experience with DBT, Astronomer, Airflow, or similar orchestration tools.
  • Strong background in developing and maintaining large-scale ETL/ELT pipelines.
  • Proficiency with modern cloud-based data warehouse platforms (e.g., BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift, Teradata).
  • Experience in API integrations and streaming data ingestion.
  • Familiarity with data warehousing methodologies (e.g., Kimball, Inmon, Data Vault).

  • Nice to Have:
  • Experience in CI/CD practices for data workflows.
  • Exposure to analytics tools and an understanding of downstream reporting needs.
  • Awareness of data governance and compliance standards.

  • Business stakeholders can reliably access clean, up-to-date data for reporting.
  • Clear documentation and collaboration streamline knowledge transfer and onboarding.
  • Data security and governance standards are upheld across all integration work.
  • Collaboration with BI and Analytics teams leads to timely delivery of data initiatives.
