Job Description

This position is responsible for performing the duties of Principle Data Architect working closely with Stakeholders, SMEs and Data Stewards.

Responsibilities include

  • Act as a primary influencer and collaborator, working across teams to establish Architecture Patterns and Reference Architectures, promoting their adoption to align with business and technology strategies. 
  • Outline and continuously update the target state for enterprise data architecture, detailing the strategy for creating and utilizing official data sources. 
  • Serve as a key advisor on best practices in data governance and data architecture, conducting training sessions and workshops to enhance data literacy and governance adherence across the organization.
  • Lead the establishment and maintenance of a data catalog and metadata management practices, improving data discoverability and understanding across the organization.
  • Manage cross-functional teams in the execution of data governance and architecture projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of data governance policies, recommending and implementing improvements as needed.
  • Guarantee alignment of new data initiatives and projects with the organization-wide target data strategy and architecture, which includes reviewing and approving key design documents. 
  • Establish and oversee technical data standards and patterns, granting exceptions where necessary. Ensure data architecture patterns are up-to-date, reusable, and clearly understandable. 
  • Collaborate with the security architect to set a comprehensive strategy for data security, access, and provisioning that meets security requirements and governance policies. 
  • Approve significant architectural changes to improve data quality. 
  • Develop reference architectures for the Enterprise data and the Data Governance team that support business and technology strategies. 
  • Utilize expertise in modern data management, analytics, and science practices to advance our goal of creating unique, data-driven capabilities. 
  • Promote architecture transformation, encouraging adoption and driving modernization across product and data teams.

Qualifications

Leadership in Modern Architecture with extensive understanding of Enterprise Architecture and Solution Architecture frameworks, best practices, and the application of current architectural trends for business transformation. 

  • Relationship Building and Communication with strong team player with effective collaboration, networking, and influencing abilities, capable of building trust and relationships. 
  • Clear vision communication and influencing the adoption of architectural principles, patterns, and standards. 
  • Experienced in managing multiple projects, budgets, and schedules to successful outcomes. 
  • Track record of achieving specific goals aligned with business objectives through outcome tracking and reporting. 
  • Persistence, resilience, and comfort in driving change and navigating ambiguity. 
  • Intellectual Curiosity and Committed to continuous learning, understanding strategic investments and emerging technologies.

Compensation:

The expected annual salary for this position is between $140,000 - $160,000 at the start of employment. A salary offer is determined on an individualized basis, taking into consideration factors such as an individual’s skills and experience. In addition to base salary, our total rewards package also includes eligibility for an annual bonus, medical, pharmacy, dental, and vision plans, life and disability insurance, employee wellness program, retirement and savings plans with employer contributions, generous holiday and paid time off schedules, parental leave, and tuition reimbursement.
