About the Opportunity

 

We are on the lookout for an Analytics and Insights Manager for Total Tools based in Port Melbourne on full time permanent basis.

 

The Analytics and Insights Manager will provide leadership and direction to a team focused on Data, Analytics and Insights. You will be responsible for maintaining our data platforms whilst extracting business insights from our data sources in a way that is intuitive for the business teams to consume.  Work with business leaders to identify gaps in reporting and data to build solutions that help the business make more meaningful decisions today and into the future.

You will be responsible for maintaining support for the current environment and another eye on ensuring we are leveraging emerging technology and insights that will help deliver Total Tools a competitive edge.

 

 

In this Role

 

  • Lead the Analytics and Insights team
  • Drive data comprehension and adoption across the business
  • Support the existing environment within agreed SLAs
  • Assist in developing an analytics and insights data strategy with the Total Tools CIO
  • Define and manage standards for data
  • Manage escalations in the Analytics and Insights space
  • Define and manage the prioritisation of requests for the Analytics and Insights team
  • Assist in the Total Tools Data Management Standards
  • Ensure security is maintained appropriately across all system under your control, including but not limited to: User Access; Data segregation; patching of systems
  • Ensure Sigma’s data repositories under your control maintain and comply with PII or similar obligations
  • Build a KPI report for the Analytics and Insights team to help measure and then manage key systems and support services
  • Define development standards relevant to the systems under your control
  • Assist in framing the overall IT architecture for Total Tools
  • Ensure that internal and external audit requirements and findings are appropriately remediated
  • Optimise the performance of the data environments to ensure timely delivery of reports

 

You’re Likely a Match If

 

  • Relevant Degree or higher qualification in Computer Science or Business disciplines
  • 10+ years’ experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics and Insights
  • Extensive stakeholder engagement experience
  • Working in environments with Enterprise grade data repositories
  • Experience defining strategy for data warehousing and repositories in support of reporting, analytics and insights teams
  • Directing development and support to align to IT and business strategies
  • Working knowledge within an environment that leverages AI and ML
  • Experience in a retail environment preferred but not essential
  • Experience in a mix of technologies, such as: SQL, Cognos eco systems and Azure
  • Experience in the following is highly advantageous: Modern Microsoft data platforms, Power BI, Python, Github, Azure Dev Ops
  • Working knowledge of ERP advantageous
  • Working knowledge of ecommerce and loyalty systems advantageous
  • Strong knowledge on Microsoft, its security model and auditing and compliance.
