The Spectacles team is pushing the boundaries of technology to bring people closer together in the real world. Our fifth-generation Spectacles, powered by Snap OS, showcase how standalone, see-through AR glasses make playing, learning, and working better together.Ā 

We're looking for Computer Vision Engineers to join the Spectacles team in Vienna, Austria!


What you’ll do:

Working on Computer Vision and Computer Graphics technologies,Ā  you will be collaborating closely with other Snap hardware and software teams around the world to:Ā 

  • Develop, setup and test efficient sensor and display calibration routines for Spectacles

  • Work together with mechanical & electrical engineers to design Spectacle test & calibration stations.

  • Scale up and optimize computer vision based routines for high throughput calibration.

  • Utilize robots and actuators for calibration automation.

  • Working closely together with Graphics, Display and CV teams to develop next generation algorithms for see-through AR glasses.

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:

  • Experience with C++ and Python

  • Solid foundation in Computer Vision such as camera models, multi-view geometry and transformations

  • Solid Math background with understanding of 3D geometry, trigonometry and linear algebra

  • Basic skills to work with mechanical and robotic installations

  • Attention to detail, strong desire for quality and good communication skills

  • Outstanding problem solving skills

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BSc/MSc with 2+ years of relevant experience from industry in a relevant engineering discipline (e.g. computer science, mechatronics, mathematics, robotics, ...)Ā 

  • 2+ years of experience in software development with modern C++ or Python.

  • Solid knowledge of 3D geometry, trigonometry and linear algebraĀ 

  • Solid knowledge of geometric computer visionĀ 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with geometric camera and/or sensor calibration.

  • Experience with numerical optimization algorithms.

  • Experience with mechanical engineeringĀ 

  • Experience with roboticsĀ 

  • Experience with SLAM, point cloud processing or visual tracking systems
