Role Summary/Purpose:
The VP, CoBrand Analytics Leader is responsible for driving the overall analytics vision for a set of general purpose and cobranded credit card portfolios.Ā These portfolios span multiple industries including travel, telecom, retail, and ecommerce.Ā S/he leads a team of analysts to develop capabilities and solutions, derive actionable insights, and influence business strategies and decisions throughout the customer journey.
This will involve marketing and consumer analyses, segmentation, forecasting, reporting, and other projects related to improving portfolio performance, customer experience, and operational efficiency.Ā This leader will collaborate closely with clients and internal business partners to drive growth and profitability for the SYF Cobrand business.

Essential Responsibilities:
Provide strategic leadership and hands-on analytical support to multiple general purpose and cobrand credit card portfolios
Develop analytics agenda and roadmap for each portfolio to drive business goals
Spearhead analytics development and delivery for new launches, value propositions, customer acquisitions, lifecycle marketing, and customer experience initiatives
Lead analytics and cross functional teams to design, develop, implement and monitor analytical solutions
Propose new analytical capabilities and solutions to optimize business value and customer experience
Lead team to produce analytics to track results of strategies deployed, and create test and learn culture through ongoing assessment
Foster strong partnership and engagement with both the internal SYF and client teams
Effectively engage with internal and client partners at all levels up to and including senior leadership
Influence internal and client partners to implement profitable data-driven strategies
Develop business cases and action plans to drive strategy including targeting recommendations, test designs, product opportunities, and cost/benefit analysis
Participate in and present at business and client leadership meetings representing team and analytics organization
Manage, coach and develop a team of analytics professionals dedicated to SYF Cobrand business
Prioritize workload across teams to ensure highest-quality execution and delivery of strategic analytics, diagnostics, ad-hoc analyses, and reporting
Lead analytics team to deliver complex projects from beginning to end, including ideation, data mining, strategy formulation, and presentation of results and recommendations
Formulate strategy and action plan to recruit, retain, and develop talent
Coach and develop analytic professional through training and hands-on experiences
Partner with Analytics CoE teams to drive best practices and central analytic capabilities across clients
Partner with CoE teams to develop and apply advanced analytics and models to optimize business outcomes
Partner with CoE teams to develop and implement analytic solutions to improve customer experience across different channels
Provide input to CoE teams representing client and business
Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelorās degree in Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, or another quantitative field, or in lieu of degree, a high school diploma/GED and 12+ years of experience in business analytics and/or advanced analytics role
A minimum of 8+ years of work experience to include:
5+ years of analytic leadership/managerial experience within financial services or other consumer analytics business
5+ years leading large-scale marketing and/or customer analytics projects
Must be willing to travel up to 20% of the time
Desired Characteristics:
General purpose and cobrand credit card experience strongly preferred
Client facing experience preferred
Advanced degree preferred
Demonstrated ability to manage remotely located domestic and international teams
Proven hands-on experience using SAS, SQL, and/or open-source tools (e.g., R, Python)
Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau
Understanding of targeting and segmentation, retail analytic tools, and advanced skills using Excel and PowerPoint strongly preferred
Understanding of credit card industry financial P&L drivers and sensitivities
Ability to influence senior corporate decision makers and business strategies with analytical insights
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with a broad range of audiences including senior business leaders, other senior analytics leaders, and highly technical talent
Ability to synthesize/analyze complex and diverse information and to develop and recommend strategies and communicate them clearly
Grade/Level: 14
The salary range for this position is 170,000.00 - 290,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.
Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.
Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.
Eligibility Requirements:
You must be 18 years or older
You must have a high school diploma or equivalent
You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process
You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles.Ā Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 monthsā time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles.Ā Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 monthsā time in position before they can post.Ā All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you donāt meet the time in position or performance expectations).
