Provides technical support and assistance to faculty Principal Investigators (PIs) with data collection and report generation from clinical informatics systems.
Works with PIs to design and create data collection forms.
Assists PIs in the preparation of manuscripts for publications and preparation of progress reports to sponsoring agencies; assists in the preparation of amendments to protocols and/or modifications to study design as appropriate.
Serves as a resource to clinical research staff, ensuring appropriate procedures and explains policies and procedures; ensures that data collections are completed according to IRB and federal guidelines.
Analyzes and assesses the quality of the data from the clinical informatics systems; follows the “data supply chain” to assess system interface constraints and recommend appropriate solutions; researches and recommends new methods and procedures to maintain data standards and improve data quality.
Designs and implements educational service programs to support clinical informatics efforts.
