Location: On-site or Remote, providing the candidate resides in one of the following markets: Santa Fe, NM; Denver, CO; Las Vegas, NV; Houston, TX; Dallas, TX; New York, NY; or Los Angeles, CA
Compensation: The salary range for this position is $65,600 to $95,940. Compensation is based on location and experience.

Job Summary:
Meow Wolf’s HRIS Administrator serves as the primary point of contact and uber Subject Matter Expert for our human capital management system; ultimately responsible for the proper and effective operations of our HR software. We are a fast-moving, high-growth B Corporation intent on improving the world for good through immersive art experiences. You will join a professional, knowledgeable, and supportive HR team in ensuring our staff are empowered and engaged. Above all else we seek candidates who are curious, analytical and sticklers for perfection when it comes to HRIS software configuration, policies, and practice.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the design, configuration, testing, implementation, and maintenance of the HRIS system, including business processes, security, and troubleshooting.
Plan and support the rollout of operational updates and cyclical HR events (e.g., Open Enrollment, Performance Management, Total Rewards, ACA filings).
Provide technical support and security administration for all HRIS modules, managing user permissions, system settings, and ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, PII).
Develop and maintain system documentation, user guidelines, training materials, and deliver training for internal users.
Collaborate with HR, Finance and IT teams to support module-specific needs, integrations, and business processes, serving as liaison with external vendors and stakeholders.
Oversee HRIS upgrades and enhancements, including gathering requirements, configuring systems, performing impact analyses, testing, and change communications.
Partner with data engineers and analysts to define HR data models, reporting structures, and automated data feeds.
Create and manage dashboards, metrics, advanced reports, and data integrity tools to support business needs.
Stay current on HRIS release updates and lead related change management and communication efforts.
Required Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, business administration, HR management, or similar field
A minimum of 5 years’ experience as an HRIS administrator
Experience with Workday including HCM, Payroll, Benefits, Absences, Advanced Compensation, Recruiting, Prism, Time Tracking, etc.
Advanced experience with the building and maintenance of calculated fields is strongly preferred
Basic knowledge of labor legislation and data protection regulations
Experience in analyzing HRIS performance metrics and improving processes
Experience in performing diagnostic tests and audits, as well as documenting processes
Ability to keep information confidential, particularly PII
Ability to provide, in user-friendly terms, sound ideas and solutions to end users on HR systems-related questions, tasks, projects and reports
Demonstrates an understanding of business objectives both internally and externally which impact the company’s ability to achieve its objectives
Experience developing reporting or self-service tooling for non-technical stakeholders.
Proven track record of using operations data analysis to identify opportunities, pain points, courses of action, and the underlying causes behind issues
Experience communicating results of analyses to non-technical stakeholders who are the users of systems involving metrics, pipelines, and dashboards
Experience in producing business intelligence for operations teams, using outputs of pipelines, dashboards, and other infrastructure
Experience in one of more of the following programming languages: Python, PHP or Haskell.
Experience working with data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI / Tableau)
Experience operating strategic projects with cross-functional partners

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and scanners.

Physical ability to walk, stand, take stairs/slides/elevators, and navigate the elements during the day and night. Employee may be required to remain in a sitting or standing position for prolonged periods, and repeat motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds at times.

Work Schedule:
This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 9a.m. to 5 p.m. or 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
