Data Engineer with AWS

What awaits you 

• Develop and maintain medium / complex transformation of data with Python on AWS platform 
• Design and implement SQL-based data transformations in Snowflake  
• Collaborate with the team to evaluate and implement cloud-based data architecture solutions 
• Make part of team wo implement a Reporting Self Service Portal to enhance the data analysis and reporting capabilities of Production data.  
• Troubleshoot and optimize data processing workflows 
• Contributes to the development of data quality monitoring and alerting mechanisms 
• Participate in code reviews and knowledge sharing within the team 
• Provide technical documentation and support for the business stakeholders 

What should you bring along  

• University Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business or a related field  
• Minimum of 3-5 years of professional work experience 
• Degree in business informatics, information systems, or a related technical field 
• Proven experience in data integration, data analysis, or a similar technical role 
• Knowledge Python programming skills focused on data transformation (Pandas) and or distributed data processing (PySpark) 
• Knowledge and practical experience on Amazon Data Engineering stack (EC2, Lamda, S3, Elastic Container Registry, Step Functions, AWS Glue) 
• Experience with API’s focus on ability to design, build, and scale RESTful and/or Graph QL APIs for high performance and availability 
• Experience of working with databases like PostgreSQL. NoSQL (DynamoDB) 
• Enforce engineering best practices within the team, promoting code quality, testing, and efficient development workflows, CI/CD improvements on AWS cloud 
• Basic / medium knowledge on Containerization with Docker, Kubernetes 
• Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences 
• Basic knowledge of reporting tools like Amazon QuickSight 
• Experience as part of an international agile organization with a strong understanding of agile development (work in Jira/Confluence) 
• Data modeling and profiling (knowledge about relational and dimensional data models) 
• Nice to have skills: Angular (or understanding the basics of web development), Amazon infrastructure capabilities 
• Strong verbal, written, presentation, and communication skills in English  
• Knowledge of German is an advantage 
• Team player, target-oriented, and able to work independently with little instruction 
• Flexibility to adapt to new tools, technologies, and evolving business requirements
