As a Business Intelligence Developer at Abacus Medicine, you’ll help build solid data foundations and support decision-making through trustworthy, well-structured data models and dashboards.

You'll join a skilled and supportive team that’s always looking to improve, share knowledge, and move our data agenda forward – while also having fun along the way.

You’ll work closely with BI developers, data engineers, analysts, and data scientists, as well as a broad range of stakeholders across the business. You'll be part of the Data, Analytics & AI (DnA) department - a group of passionate professionals who care deeply about technical excellence and a supportive team culture.

We prioritize employee well-being, encourage professional growth, and create a positive work environment through regular team-building activities and social events. We believe in a healthy, collaborative culture where our data solutions create real business impact.

Are you ready to embark on this journey with us?

As a BI Developer, your main responsibility is to design and maintain strong, validated data models that serve as a reliable foundation for analytics and reporting.

Your tasks will include:

  • Model and Dashboard Development: Developing and maintaining scalable data models in Databricks or Power BI and dashboards with a focus on structure, performance, and usability - tailored to solve real business problems.
  • Data Validation and Governance: Ensuring data quality and consistency through robust modeling, validation, and governance practices.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborating closely with colleagues across DnA and business units to understand needs, utilize divers skills, and deliver value-adding solutions.
  • Process Improvement and Innovation: Challenging existing processes and actively contributing with improvements that enhance data reliability, efficiency and innovation in our data solutions.
  • Working With Databricks: Expanding your skills within Databricks and cloud-based architecture.

Fuel for your success in the role

  • A Master’s degree in a data or business related field.
  • Practical exposure to BI and other data related fields (e.g., through academic projects, internships, or student positions).
  • Proficiency in data visualization with Excel, Power BI (or similar tools like Tableau or Qlik).
  • Knowledge of SQL and data modeling techniques is a plus.
  • Good communication skills - the ability to translate complex data into clear and actionable insights.
  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset and a passion for continuous improvement.

Are you curious about this role?

This is a temporary position for 12 months to cover parental leave, with a preferred start date in September. If you’re interested, we encourage you to apply by submitting your CV — we look forward to hearing from you!
