Analytics Engineer

About the job

As an entry level Analytics Engineer at Flatpay, you will be the bridge between data engineering and analytics. Your primary focus will be to build and maintain robust, scalable, and well-documented data models that enable data-driven decision-making across the business. 

You'll work closely with product managers, sales mangers, analysts, and engineers to understand data needs, translate them into clean, accessible data structures using tools like Fabric, dbt, and Power BI, and ensure our dashboards and insights are reliable, performant, and self-service friendly.

What you'll do

• Designing, building, and maintaining efficient, tested, and well-documented data models to support product analytics, self-service analytics, and operational reporting
• Supporting product managers by developing intuitive and user-friendly dashboards and reporting layers that empower decision-making without deep technical involvement
• Collaborating with business stakeholders and software engineers to understand product goals, technical capabilities, and data limitations
• Ensuring data quality and integrity through validation, testing, and continuous monitoring
• Championing best practices in data modeling, documentation, and analytics engineering across the organization
• Contributing to the evolution of Flatpay's modern data stack and infrastructure, with a focus on flexibility and reusability
• Supporting version control, CI/CD, and data governance as part of our analytics workflows

Who you are

You are a detail-oriented and curious problem solver who thrives on building scalable, reusable, and user-friendly data solutions. You combine a strong foundation in SQL and data modeling with a passion for making data accessible, intuitive, and impactful for product teams and business stakeholders. You're proactive, collaborative, and comfortable owning projects end to end in a fast-paced, agile environment.

Moreover, we imagine that you have:

• Experience with data transformation and modeling, ideally using dbt or similar tools
• Strong SQL skills
• A strong understanding of Power BI (or similar BI Tool)
• Familiarity with version control (e.g., Git)
• Excellent communication skills, fluency in English (Danish is a plus), and the ability to explain analytical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Nice to have: 

• Experience with Python for scripting data ingestion, transformation, or automation tasks
• Fluency in Italian, German, or French
