Your New Role

Reporting to the Head of Enterprise Platforms, the Senior Manager – AI is a key leadership role within Technology Services and Enterprise Platforms teams. This role leads the AI Centre of Excellence for the Fund and consults to multiple domains to embrace AI across their functions.  Specifically. we have a goal to have AI everywhere across the Fund and ensure our colleagues are equipped and fluent in utilising AI in their roles. 

This critical leadership position is supported by a dedicated team of technology experts to design, develop, test and release AI technology solutions. The role includes people leadership responsibilities for the team, and leads the ongoing demand and capacity planning, schedule, risk and issues management, financial management, and other aspects of portfolio and delivery management.

Key responsibilities will include;

• Champion the use of AI across the fund including education, promotion, helping business partners define use cases

• Lead and manage the AI delivery team to deliver fit for purpose technology solutions across domains 

• Motivate and inspire the team and suppliers by demonstrating commitment to the Fund’s values and leadership principles 

• Lead and facilitate the capture of new demand into AI Applications technology 

• Pipeline and appropriately manage the team’s capacity to service this demand

• Stand up persistent cross functional squads to service the demand and orchestrate across the technology services to bring solutions to life

• Stand up an effective operational capability that ensures stable and effective servicing across platforms

• Effectively manage solution design, testing and deployment activities being performed by external vendors / service providers

• Ensure high level of business satisfaction through the delivery of technology solutions 

• Build relationships with vendors & service providers to enable the successful delivery of solutions using vendor products

What You’ll Need  

• Deep experience leading technology delivery teams in the Financial Services or Superannuation industry 

• Depth of proven experience in delivering initiatives utilising agile techniques 

• Strategic thinking with proven experience in leading transformation programs

• A Leader who is well versed across emerging tech including AI and has proven ability to define the vision, roadmap to implement and champion delivery accordingly

• Commercially astute, with strong financial management, supplier management, and negotiation skills

• Ability to develop and maintain high quality interpersonal relationships with stakeholders at all levels, both inside and outside the Fund 

• Experienced in managing global teams

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science 

• Relevant certifications in project management, such as, Prince2 or PMP 

• Agile certification such as Scaled Agile
