Job Description

Join a highly impactful team as a Market Research Data Analyst within our Marketing Insights team at ALDI Stores, based in Minchinbury. This is a permanent full-time opportunity.

We're looking for a dynamic individual with a strong background in analytics and quantitative market research. You'll be a core member of our market research operations identifying trends, interpreting performance metrics and turning complex datasets into clear and actionable business recommendations to drive our strategic goals.

  • Analyse and interpret large datasets derived from syndicated market research sources (e.g. Circana, NielsenIQ) to inform strategic decisions.
  • Design, automate, and maintain regular performance dashboards and reports that track sales trends, market share and customer KPIs.
  • Act as the central ‘knowledge hub’ by translating data into clear business narratives for internal stakeholders through visualisation tools and storytelling techniques.
  • Liaise with external research providers to ensure data delivery, quality, and relevance to business priorities.
  • Support the strategic use and application of ALDI’s segmentation framework to drive cross-functional initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Proven data analysis experience, preferably in retail or FMCG.
  • Hands-on experience with syndicated data platforms such as Circana or NielsenIQ is highly desirable.
  • Advanced Excel and data visualisation skills (e.g. PowerPoint, Tableau). Experience with analytical software (e.g. R, Python, SQL) is also regarded.
  • Exceptional ability to engage with, and convey technical ideas to relevant business stakeholders with a focus on actionable recommendations.
  • Ability to develop data-driven insights to inform and drive strategic decision-making within a dynamic business environment.
  • A self-starter with strong organisational skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Remuneration

  • Transparent tiered salary range of $139,200 - $158,800 including Superannuation.
