Klook is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Analyst to join our Analytics team and lead our data enablement and governance initiatives company-wide. In this critical role, you will be responsible for establishing and promoting data best practices, ensuring data quality and integrity, and managing projects that enhance our data infrastructure and capabilities.

The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of data governance principles, a passion for empowering users with reliable data, and a proven ability to manage complex data-related projects. As a key member of our Analytics team, you will collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to build a robust data culture and drive data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Enablement and Best Practices:

  • Champion data literacy and best practices throughout the organization through training, documentation, and support.

  • Collaborate closely with Data Product teams to implement and enforce data best practices throughout the analytics lifecycle, from data pipeline development to final reporting and visualization.

  • Work with business and technical teams to identify and implement tools and processes that improve data accessibility, quality, and usability.

  • Develop and maintain a centralized repository of data-related documentation, including data lineage, process flows, and best practice guides.

Data Quality and Integrity:

  • Establish and monitor key data quality metrics to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of our data assets.

  • Lead data quality initiatives, including data profiling, cleansing, and validation, to identify and resolve data issues.

  • Implement and manage a process for reporting and resolving data quality issues in a timely and effective manner.

Project Management:

  • Lead and manage data-related projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.

  • Develop detailed project plans, including scope, goals, timelines, and resource allocation.

  • Facilitate communication and collaboration among project stakeholders, including business users, IT teams, and executive leadership.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Act as a key bridge between business and technical teams to ensure alignment on data-related initiatives.

  • Gather and document business requirements for data projects, translating them into clear and actionable technical specifications.

  • Effectively communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Metric Definition and Governance:

  • Drive alignment on key business metrics across the company by standardizing definitions and documenting calculation methodologies.

  • Own and maintain a centralized business glossary and data dictionary to create a single source of truth and a common understanding of data terms.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in a data-focused role, such as data governance, data management, or business analysis, with a proven track record in project management.

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Data Governance Expertise: In-depth knowledge of data governance frameworks, principles, and best practices.

  • Project Management: Proven experience managing data-related projects.

  • Technical Skills:

  • Hands-on experience with modern data stack technologies, including BigQuery, DBT, Looker Studio, and Tableau.

  • Strong SQL skills for data analysis and validation.

  • Familiarity with data modeling concepts and tools.

  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to identify, analyze, and resolve complex data issues.

  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences. Strong facilitation and negotiation skills.
