The company, based in Madrid (Spain), is seeking a full-time Senior Data Analyst Consultant to play a key role in developing innovative energy projects across the globe

Job Description

You will be working with our diverse team of international energy sector consultants and professional staff in the areas/tasks listed below.

  • Conduct data analyses to support a wide range of consulting projects, delivering actionable insights and data-driven solutions to clients.

  • Develop advanced statistical models, machine learning algorithms, and data-driven optimization tools to solve business challenges.

  • Design and implement predictive models to forecast trends and inform decision-making in various business domains.

  • Visualize complex data insights using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or custom visualization solutions to communicate findings effectively to clients.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data analytics into client-facing strategies and project deliverables.

  • Provide strategic recommendations based on data insights to drive business optimization, cost reduction, and process improvements for clients.

  • Present complex data analysis results to senior leadership and clients, ensuring clarity and accessibility for a diverse audience.

  • Stay updated on emerging data science technologies, industry trends, and best practices to continually enhance analytical capabilities.

Qualifications

Required Experience & Knowledge:

  • 5-10 years' experience in data analytics, statistical modeling, and/or consulting, with a strong focus on data-driven decision-making and problem-solving.

  • Expertise in working with large datasets, data manipulation, and statistical analysis techniques to generate actionable business insights.

  • Proven experience in predictive modeling, machine learning, and data visualization in a consulting environment.

  • Strong proficiency in data analytics tools and programming languages (e.g., Python, R, SQL, MATLAB, Power BI, Tableau).

  • Ability to develop and implement advanced data models and algorithms to address business challenges and optimize strategies.

  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to effectively present complex data findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Strong organizational skills, capable of managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.

  • Line management experience.

Qualifications:

  • MSc or equivalent in a quantitative field (e.g., Data Science, Engineering, Economics, Statistics); additional training in machine learning or business analytics is a plus.

  • Extensive experience in data analysis, statistical modeling, machine learning, and predictive analytics.

  • Proficiency in programming languages for data analysis (e.g., Python, R) and working with large datasets (e.g., SQL).

  • Strong expertise in data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, etc.) to present complex data findings clearly.

  • Solid understanding of business consulting, including the application of data analytics to improve client operations, processes, and strategies.

  • Ability to work collaboratively within cross-disciplinary teams and deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines.

Additional Information

Remuneration is commensurate with education and experience.

Holiday allowance of 23 days.
