The Data Analyst will perform advanced analysis of healthcare-financial data and provide insights into the health of the business. This requires strong analytical skills and a passion for uncovering information hidden in complex datasets. This is a technical, detail-oriented role focused on analyzing healthcare claims and financial data, in order to guide operations, billing, and strategic decisions. The optimal candidate will have a few years of experience in this area and would have provided solutions based on true data-driven insights.

Responsibilities

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Analyze healthcare claims, collections, and billing data to show performance trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities• Apply advanced statistical techniques to understand past performance, explore root causes, and identify areas of improvement• Build, train, and validate predictive models that forecast outcomes, support decision-making and provide actionable recommendations• Define business metrics and KPIs that align with financial and operational goals• Translate business requirements into data models and analysis-plans• Build and automate reports, machine learning models, and data visualizations• Design and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports for stakeholders• Identify data quality issues, gaps, or inconsistencies and recommend solutions• Document metrics, definitions, data sources, and reporting processes• Support user acceptance testing and stakeholder training for new reports or models• Collaborate with offshore and onshore developers and data teams• Coordinate cross-functional data analysis projects and maintain high-quality standards for deliverables

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS• 3+ years analyzing data and writing queries in SQL Server• 2+ years doing advanced statistical analysis using Python or similar tool • 1+ years working with financial data, preferably associated with Healthcare Claims and Revenue Cycle• 1+ years building reports and dashboards in PowerBI or similar reporting tool• Demonstrated ability to think critically about data and draw actionable conclusions• Strong verbal and written communication skills• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and deliver with minimal supervision• Analytical thinker with strong attention to detail• Ability to communicate insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholder
