Role: Senior Social Strategist

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands (hybrid; 3 days per week from the office)

About the role: 

Join our innovative new team as a Senior Strategist and work in partnership with our client - a renowned producer of beloved ice cream brands. In this key role, you'll lead social-first strategy on a day-to-day basis, playing a pivotal part in elevating these brands to cultural icon status. Collaborate closely with our social leads, creators, and data analysts to develop work that drives meaningful conversations. Additionally, you'll have the chance to explore pioneering ways to utilize Gen AI in crafting more innovative strategies and creative solutions. What you will be doing: 

  • Leading social strategy both for campaigns and always on activity, integrating influencers and creators as part of this 
    • Ensuring strategies will deliver maximum cultural impact 
    • Ensuring strategies will deliver maximum commercial impact 
    • Using Gen AI to accelerate and augment the process 
  • Providing inspiring and insightful creative guidance   
    • Briefing creatives, creators and social teams 
    • Bringing to life audiences and cultural trends in an insightful, relevant and inspiring way 
    • Guiding creative development so work is on point for our audiences and on brand 
  • Bringing original audience and cultural insight to help brands connect  
    • Working with our Cultural Insight Analyst to surface fresh insight for our strategies 
    • Ensuring our thinking is data backed 
    • Unpacking the latest audience and social trends for our teams and clients 
  • Ensuring we’re learning from in market performance  
    • Guiding the analysis of campaigns and always on activity to draw out the relevant learnings 
    • Proactively monitoring competition and muse brands and to draw relevant learning 
    • Developing strong relationships with client insight teams to get the best out of their data  
  • Breaking new ground in the use of Gen AI 
    • Finding new use cases to accelerate and improve strategy development 
    • Educating and inspiring the team 

What you need to be great in this role: 

  • Strong experience of building social strategies, including influencer/creator 
  • Strong experience of identifying audience insights and analysing social trends 
  • Strong experience of working collaboratively with creative and social teams to deliver culturally impactful and commercially successful work 
  • Strong experience in using Gen AI to accelerate and augment strategy development 
  • Strong analytical and creative skills 
  • Able to distill actionable insight from multiple data sources: particularly social listening tools and performance dashboards 
  • Excellent written and verbal presentation and communication skills 
  • Strong working knowledge of the major LLMs and best practice prompting  
  • Strong team player who enjoys building solutions and ideas collaboratively 
  • Passionate social native who’s obsessed with what’s going on in culture 
  • Creatively driven: loves groundbreaking ideas
