About the Role

As a Demo Engineer at Cresta, you’ll play a mission-critical role in enabling our go-to-market team to tell compelling, credible, and technically sound stories about Cresta’s AI-powered platform—including real-time coaching, analytics, and virtual agent capabilities. You’ll build and manage the tools, environments, and synthetic scenarios that allow prospects to truly experience the value of our solution.

This role is equal parts builder, strategic enabler, and storyteller. You’ll collaborate closely with the Solutions Engineering team, Product, and Engineering to bring our AI-powered vision to life—helping pre-sales teams demo with precision and creativity across a wide variety of industries and buyer personas.

What You’ll Do

Build and Maintain Best-in-Class Demo Infrastructure

  • Develop internal tools, extensions, and connectors that elevate Cresta’s demo capabilities (e.g., Chrome extensions, CCaaS integrations, CRM integrations, chat interfaces).

  • Ensure demo environments are reliable, performant, and continuously updated to reflect the latest Cresta features, including AI virtual agent functionality.

  • Create and maintain synthetic conversation data and call flows that demonstrate end-to-end scenarios across different verticals using both human-agent and virtual-agent interactions.

  • Own hygiene and uptime for all environments, staging systems, and demo scripts—eliminating blockers for the field.

Empower Solutions Engineering Through Tooling & Enablement

  • Collaborate closely with Solutions Engineers to understand what resonates in customer conversations and co-develop tools that enhance storytelling and technical depth.

  • Partner with Product to understand the “why” behind features, especially around AI agent behavior, prompt design, and orchestration logic, so demos are both technically accurate and value-focused.

  • Build demo walkthroughs, enablement decks, and in-environment tutorials to help SEs confidently showcase both real-time and virtual agent capabilities.

Design Industry-Relevant Use Cases and Experiences

  • Craft and maintain vertical-specific scenarios (e.g., for banking, insurance, retail, telecom) showcasing how AI agents handle conversations, handoffs, and workflows in realistic environments.

  • Curate and manage visual assets, sample customer data, and scripted conversations that bring customer challenges and Cresta’s solutions to life.

  • Tailor demos to specific buyer personas (e.g., operations leaders, IT, CX) with focused stories and UI elements.

Support Pilots and Proof-of-Concepts

  • Partner with the Pre-Sales team during pilots to configure integrations, simulate flows, and create technically representative environments involving virtual agents and live agent assist.

  • Help troubleshoot and resolve configuration or environment-specific blockers during evaluations, working cross-functionally with Product and Engineering as needed.

What You Bring

  • 3–5+ years of experience in demo engineering, solutions engineering, technical sales enablement, or related technical product functions.

  • Experience building tools and integrations across CCaaS platforms, CRMs, and browser environments.

  • Familiarity with telephony systems, IVRs, contact center architectures, and emerging technologies in conversational AI.

  • Strong understanding of AI agents, including virtual agents, LLMs, SLMs, prompt orchestration, and real-time NLP use cases.

  • Technical fluency with tools/APIs commonly used in enterprise integrations (e.g., REST, Webhooks, JavaScript, Python).

  • Excellent collaboration skills, especially with Solutions Engineers, Product, and Sales.

  • Ability to simplify technical concepts and package them into visually compelling, business-relevant demos.

  • Proven attention to detail and ownership mindset for environment hygiene and tooling stability.

Bonus Points

    • Experience with RAG (retrieval-augmented generation), prompt design frameworks, or conversational UX best practices.

    • Experience in high-growth SaaS or enterprise AI platforms.

    • Familiarity with Salesforce, Zendesk, Genesys, NICE, or similar platforms used in contact center operations.

Compensation at Cresta 

Cresta’s approach to compensation is simple: recognize impact, reward excellence, and invest in our people. We offer competitive, location-based pay that reflects the market and what each individual brings to the table.

The posted base salary range represents what we expect to pay for this role in a given location. Final offers are shaped by factors like experience, skills, education, and geography. In addition to base pay, total compensation includes equity and a comprehensive benefits package for you and your family.

Salary Range: $110,000 ~ $140,000 + variable incentive + equity.
