Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Geography, Data Science, or related field
  • Minimum 4 years of experience working with ESRI ArcGIS Products
  • Proficient with ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, and ArcGIS Enterprise (required)
  • Basic skills in reading and interpreting construction and engineering documents
  • Strong understanding of geospatial concepts and tools
  • Knowledge of Global Positioning System (GPS) principles, configuration on survey grade equipment, and experience with system integration on the ArcGIS Field Maps mobile application
  • Experience in extraction and conversion of data from multiple sources and formats into GIS databases
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills to effectively interact with clients, team members, and supervisors, conveying technical information clearly.
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize, manage workloads, maintain accurate and detailed record-keeping skills, documenting problem resolutions
  • Ability to multi-task and adjust to frequent changes in project priorities
  • Experience with Arcade, Python (specifically Arcpy), and web coding is preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • This position performs geographic and non-geographic data manipulation, management and analysis, cartography, and utilizes GIS processes to achieve the goals and objectives of our company and clients
  • Review, update, and manage existing client GIS databases, and create new data layers when needed
  • Develop new GIS workflows for data collection and maintenance and improve existing workflows where possible for engineering, land surveying, and environmental applications
  • Produce high-quality, detailed cartographic map products in both digital and hardcopy form for use in reports, presentations, and online data viewers
  • Publish and manage company and client feature services, web maps, and applications within the ArcGIS Online and Enterprise environments
  • Balance multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring tasks related to GIS, database design and data management, and data visualization are completed on time and on budget
  • Work with inter-departmental staff to leverage GIS in their current and future projects
  • Work collaboratively to enhance the GIS department’s operations, maintaining accurate, high-quality data that is secure and readily available across
