Key Objectives
The LATAM Data Science team is looking for a Data Scientist. The candidate will bring knowledge and expertise in Advanced Analytics to Chubb. Position can be based in CDMX or Monterrey.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Own the end-to-end development of the data science products: from data engineering, data exploration, modeling, and model deployment.
Develop company A/B testing frameworks and test model quality.
Understand and combine data from various sources to create analytics data sets.
Use new methodologies, algorithms, tools, and technologies to solve problems.
Collaborate with multiple teams (e.g., Applied AI, Claims, Underwriting, IT) to achieve objectives.
Become a trusted partner for the stakeholders in topics related to data and analytics (i.e., translating data insights into business decisions/actions).
Communicate and present findings or data science projects/achievements to non-technical audiences.
Support ad-hoc business requests which require statistical analysis.
Desired Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Statistics, Mathematics, Analytics, Engineering or Computer Science. An advanced degree in Statistics or Predictive Analytics is strongly preferred.
3+ years of advanced analytics experience.
Experience with programming and statistical packages (Python, R)
Experience in data management (SQL)
Knowledge of advanced analytics techniques.
Good Problem-Solving skill is a must.
Experience in designing and building data science products that influence the business decision-making process.
