Data Engineer (Snowflake, Power BI), EUROPE BASED

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join a business-critical QCF reporting project. The scope includes data ingestion, transformation, and preparation for business reporting needs. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise with Snowflake, SQL, and data pipeline performance optimization. Experience with Power BI is also important, particularly for monitoring and optimizing reporting outputs.

Responsibilities:

• Optimize the performance of data pipelines and address data quality issues
• Implement active monitoring on both pipeline and data quality
• Apply changes to the flattening process based on evolving business requirements
• Monitor Power BI report performance and carry out necessary optimizations
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure business reporting requirements are met
• Adapt quickly to the project environment and collaborate effectively within an Agile setup

Must-Have Skills & Experience:

• Strong experience in Data Engineering with a deep understanding of Snowflake
• Very good SQL skills
• Proven experience in performance optimization of data pipelines and reports
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Proactive, adaptable, and eager to learn within a dynamic environment

Nice-to-Have:

• Experience with Matillion
• Background in Agile project environments
• Familiarity with Python and Power BI
