Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled SQL Server Developer & .NET API Specialist to join our innovative team. In this role, you will be responsible for optimizing database performance, developing robust APIs, and contributing to the overall architecture of our systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient data processes and enhance our digital insurance solutions.
Key Responsibilities
As a SQL Server Developer & .NET API Specialist at Chubb, you will be responsible for developing and optimizing T-SQL queries, stored procedures, and views to enhance database performance. You will design and implement cloud-based database solutions while collaborating with cross-functional teams to create microservices using .NET Core Web API and C#. Your role will also involve utilizing Docker and Kubernetes for application deployment, leveraging ADO.NET, Entity Framework, and LINQ for data access management, and employing Visual Studio 2019 or later with GIT for source control. In addition, you will apply Agile methodologies and DevOps practices through CI/CD deployment tools such as Azure DevOps and Jenkins, conduct API testing and debugging with Postman, and provide essential operational support by monitoring jobs, reporting issues, and performing root cause analysis.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated expertise in SQL Server with a focus on performance tuning and optimization.
- Strong ability to write and debug T-SQL queries, as well as develop stored procedures, functions, and views.
- Familiarity with database design principles and cloud-based database services.
- Proficient in .NET development, specifically in building microservices using .NET Core Web API and C#.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes is a significant advantage.
- Strong knowledge of ADO.NET, Entity Framework, LINQ, and Visual Studio 2019 or later.
- Experience with Agile methodologies, DevOps practices, and CI/CD deployment tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jenkins).
- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and tools is a plus.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.
