This role is pivotal in driving data-driven decision-making across the Canadian Affiliate divisions. The Associate - Sales Insights will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to provide comprehensive data analysis, transform data into actionable insights that drive business decisions and strategies and support with Salesforce effectiveness initiatives. The role requires a deep understanding of industry data sources such as IQVIA, reimbursement claims, and business systems (ie. SAP) and tools for managing data (Tableau, PowerBI, etc.).
Key Responsibilities:
Data Analysis and Insights:
- Analyze sales team performance trends and sales data trends from multiple sources to identify key insights and opportunities.
- Synthesize data from IQVIA, ZS, warehouse shipments, and reimbursement claims to provide a holistic view of sales performance dynamics.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs and provide relevant sales and performance insights.
- Facilitate analytic delivery as needed for Business Unit assigned
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Present findings and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.
- Help translate analytics outcomes into business insights to guide business decisions
- Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in data analysis and market research.
- Support standardization and automation efforts to increase team productivity and efficiency
Salesforce Effectiveness:
- For assigned Business unit. support with annual sales team sizing and alignment activities.
- Support with developing business case for sales team structure changes, for leadership team approval.
- Support with Incentive compensation plan design, implementation and management for assigned business unit.
- Collaborate with Business unit heads, Marketing and sales leads to define customer segmentation criteria.
- Work with third part vendors to develop data sources that support with Salesforce Effectiveness needs.
- Utilize data from vendors (IQVIA, ZS etc.) to develop dynamic customer segmentation in alignment with business needs.
- Develop and maintain dashboards (Tableau, PowerBI, etc.) in collaboration with insight from business leads to support sales performance management.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and International Business unit leads to understand their data needs and provide relevant insights.
- Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership and other non-technical stakeholders using a storytelling approach.
Basic Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Math, Statistics, or Healthcare Business Management.
- Experience: 3 to 5+ years of experience, with 3+ years in analytics within the Canadian Pharma/BioTech/Medical Device industry.
- Skills: Advanced capabilities in Python, SAS, SQL, R, Excel, and Power BI. Knowledge of retail insurance claims process and vendors. Fluent in English written and verbal communication.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills, proficient in interacting with Senior Leadership
- Proven track record of working effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
- Knowledge of reporting and data analytics tools like Excel and Power BI
Location:
This is a hybrid role – onsite presence at our Toronto office will be 10 days or more per month (or at least 50% of the time), determined in collaboration with your manager and based on business needs.
