Intern, Data Analyst

Job Description

Learning Objectives: 

• Gain practical experience in data requirement gathering, data cleansing, and analysis using structured datasets.

• Develop hands-on skills in data visualization and dashboard design to communicate business insights effectively.

• Understand the data analytics lifecycle within a real-world business environment.

Working alongside our team, you will:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs, gather data requirements, and provide statistics or business data that can help to drive business insights.

• Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze data from the data lakehouse in alignment with business objectives.

• Design and build interactive dashboards and visualizations that provide actionable insights to stakeholders mainly in Operations, Commercial and Service Delivery.

• Assist with related data analytics tasks, including maintaining a Data Glossary and preparing user manuals for dashboards.

Requirements:

• Familiar with basic statistical concepts and data analysis methodologies.

• Proficient in SQL and other scripting/programming languages.

• Experience with visualisation tools (e.g. PowerBI) 

• Familiarity with cloud data platforms (e.g., Google Cloud Platform, Azure).

• Attention to detail with the ability to handle large datasets accurately.

• Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical thinking.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
