About Lendable

Lendable is on a mission to make consumer finance amazing: faster, cheaper, and friendlier. We're building one of the world’s leading fintech companies and are off to a strong start:

  • One of the UK’s newest unicorns with a team of just over 500 people

  • Among the fastest-growing tech companies in the UK

  • Profitable since 2017

  • Backed by top investors including Balderton Capital and Goldman Sachs

  • Loved by customers with the best reviews in the market (4.9 across 10,000s of reviews on Trustpilot)

So far, we’ve rebuilt the Big Three consumer finance products from scratch: loans, credit cards and car finance. We get money into our customers’ hands in minutes instead of days.

We’re growing fast, and there’s a lot more to do: we’re going after the two biggest Western markets (UK and US) where trillions worth of financial products are held by big banks with dated systems and painful processes.

Join us if you want to

  1. Take ownership across a broad remit. You are trusted to make decisions that drive a material impact on the direction and success of Lendable from day 1

  2. Work in small teams of exceptional people, who are relentlessly resourceful to solve problems and find smarter solutions than the status quo

  3. Build the best technology in-house, using new data sources, machine learning and AI to make machines do the heavy lifting

About the role

The Ops analytics team’s mission is to drive customer experience and operational efficiency through automation, analytics, and business consulting.

You will build DBT models and dashboards that drive the insight for decision making of the senior leadership in Operations (Collections, Customer Operations, Complaints, and Fincrime & Fraud).

You'll also get the chance to have a major impact by designing and building data-models and dashboards that drive actionable insights, where you will work closely with senior leadership, including our COO, to help us achieve industry-leading customer experiences.

What you'll be working on

  • Use DBT (SQL) to design, develop, and maintain models, transforming raw operational data to analytical data models.

  • Create and maintain dashboards of key operational KPIs. This reporting on Lendable’s operational health is monitored daily by executives, and reported to the Lendable board.

  • Perform data ā€˜deep-dives’, identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for automation and process improvement. You can work with leadership to help them make data-driven decisions.

  • Help the company get smarter at forecasting operational workloads. Our team plays an important role in forecasting our operational workload, as Lendable scales.

What you need to succeed

  • You are motivated to work in a fast-paced scale-up experience.

  • You have solid analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.

  • You have worked with data engineers and understand best practices for building, documenting and maintaining solid analytical SQL, and dashboards.

  • You have a strong attention to detail and ability to work with large datasets.

What we are looking for

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Business Intelligence Analyst or similar role, preferably in the financial services or consumer credit industry.

  • Strong understanding of ELT processes and experience with data integration and data warehousing concepts.

  • Proficiency in designing and developing interactive dashboards and reports using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar.

  • Experience working with DBT and Snowflake is highly desirable.

  • Advanced SQL skills for data manipulation and analysis.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively convey complex information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, agile environment.

  • Proficiency with Git version control system.

Interview process

We try to move quickly. The steps are:

  • Stage 1 quick phone call with our Talent Team

  • Stage 2 take-home SQL test

  • Stage 3 peer interviews to assess technical skills and business insight

  • Stage 4 Final chat with our COO and CRO

Life at Lendable

  • The opportunity to scale up one of the world’s most successful fintech companies.

  • Best-in-class compensation, including equity.

  • You can work from home every Monday and Friday if you wish - on the other days, those based in the UK come together IRL at our Shoreditch office in London to be together, build and exchange ideas.

  • Enjoy a fully stocked kitchen with everything you need to whip up breakfast, lunch, snacks, and drinks in the office every Tuesday-Thursday.

  • We care for our Lendies’ well-being both physically and mentally, so we offer coverage when it comes to private health insurance

  • We're an equal-opportunity employer and are looking to make Lendable the most inclusive and open workspace in London
