You are a highly skilled Data Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced, agile environment. You’re experienced in building and maintaining scalable microservices and data pipelines. You’re comfortable collaborating with security, product, and engineering teams, and you can communicate technical decisions clearly. What you will do

As a Data Engineer:

• You’ll analyze, design, and implement data pipeline features and infrastructure improvements.
• You’ll write efficient, well-tested code and conduct unit and integration testing.
• You’ll build and optimize data ingestion and ETL/ELT processes.
• You’ll participate in end-to-end project delivery—from ideation to production.
• You’ll identify and resolve anomalies and bugs in existing systems.
• You’ll collaborate cross-functionally with security and product teams to embed security and compliance best practices into development processes.
• You’ll contribute to the team’s agility, quality, and automation efforts (CI/CD, testing, deployment).
• You’ll evaluate and advise on technical design and development decisions.
• You’ll surface and communicate risks related to technology, security, or operations.
  
  

What your resume shows

Must Haves

• 6+ years of experience in data engineering, data warehousing, or ETL development
• 3+ years of experience in Apache Spark or Databricks
• 2+ years of experience with AWS cloud services
• 2+ years of experience building, deploying, and optimizing data ingestion pipelines
• Experience working directly with internal and external stakeholders
• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or equivalent practical experience
  
  

Nice to Haves

• Experience with real-time data streaming (e.g., Flink, Spark Structured Streaming, Kafka Streams)
• Familiarity with tools such as Apache Kafka, Delta Lake, Apache Hive, Apache Impala, Apache Beam
• Experience working in a startup environment
• Azure cloud experience
• Experience in cybersecurity or sensitive data protection
• Bilingual in English and French
• Strategic preference for candidates residing in Quebec or Ontario
