We are seeking a business savvy hands-on technology leader who will lead the vision, design and implementation of LS&Co’s Enterprise Data Management Platform to drive digital transformation for LS&Co. business, revenue growths and productivity. The Director of Enterprise Data Management brings deep technical and strategic experience to lead the design, development and delivery of scalable enterprise MDM, data quality and data governance capabilities across all regions and functions in the company.
About the Job
- Establish and govern an enterprise Master Data Management, Product Information Management & Data Quality technology roadmap including strategic priorities for development of information-based capabilities across various domains like Product, Location, Customer, Supply Chain & Manufacturing.
- Lead and manage the end-to-end responsibilities for the development and rollout of enterprise-wide master data platform strategies with a focus on improving data governance, data quality and timely availability of data to power digital transformation.
- Develop and implement a Data governance strategy for managing high quality structured, semi structured and unstructured data across On Prem as well as Public Cloud deployments.
- Establish a strong relationship with data owners, data stewards, and data custodians and serve as a liaison between Business, Functional areas and Technology to ensure that data related business requirements are clearly defined, communicated and well understood.
- Facilitate the development and implementation of data quality standards, data protection standards and adoption requirements across the enterprise.
- Drive adoption of AI and machine learning technologies to improve data quality, detect anomalies, and automate governance workflows following LS&Co’s established guidelines for AI and ML utilization.
- Identify new business opportunities pertaining to the use of information assets to achieve efficiency and effectiveness in the enterprise
- Lead change management efforts to improve data literacy and governance culture across the enterprise.
- Manage budgets, vendor relationships, and project timelines to deliver high-impact data solutions on time and within scope.

- Act as an agent of change within and outside your team, challenging the status quo and embracing new methodologies towards better outcomes.
About You
- 10+ years’ work experience in data management technologies collaborating with different parts of the organization; emphasis on developing and implementing data standards, policies and technology at companies working with large scale data.
- At Least 7+ years of experience with Data management, centralized and federated multi domain master data, PIM technology platforms and Product catalogs.
- Experience in leading definition, development and operations of data governance processes including data quality, data lineage and data protection.
- Experience with COTS (Informatica, Syndigo, Stibo, Salsify, Akeneo to name a few) and homegrown data federated management platforms preferred
- Experience with AI/ML technologies in the context of data management (e.g., metadata discovery, data quality scoring, anomaly detection) is preferred.
- Knowledge of data-related regulatory requirements and emerging trends is a plus.
- Experience in Retail industry, Merchandising & Product development domains is a plus
- Bachelor of Engineering/Science/Technology degree preferably in Computer Science or other Engineering discipline or equivalent
