We are currently looking to hire a temporary Business Intelligence Engineer, to join our team embedded with our client in Seattle! This position requires working onsite at our client's Headquarters in Seattle, WA.

*This is an in-office, full-time, 6-month position with the potential to extend. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, hours based on position needs. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

JOB DESCRIPTION

This role works with Geospatial Information Systems (GIS) to include project planning / execution, front-end map designs, and back-end data integration and configuration in AWS. This role will be critical in helping define the GIS product features, and contribute to immediate business impacts. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure the strategic objectives of the department are aligned with the broad business goals.
• Maintain and coordinate with business stakeholders to develop features and prioritization.
• Build front-end mapping platforms to support business decisions
• Manage the phases of GIS software program management. Work with Data Engineers to oversee software development and utilization. 
• Work closely with the other departments to establish related goals and objectives; ensure clear communication and training to team members
• Research and implement enhancements to meet evolving customer needs
• Build and maintain relationships with key vendors, customers, and business partners
• Make sure projects are on track and identify any risks
• Report progress and status of projects

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 2-5 years of experience in Geospatial Information Systems
• Prior experience with project management (estimating, work planning, scope management, budgeting, proposals, deliverables)
• Demonstrated experience in requirements gathering and technical documentation
• Proficient with ESRI ArcGIS Enterprise.
• Proficient with SQL programming language
• Proficient with one or more scripting languages (e.g., Python, R)
• Prior experience with AWS, including EC2, S3, EMR, Glue
• This position requires up to 10% travel.
• Must be able to legally work in the country where this position is located without visa sponsorship.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• BS/BA degree in GIS or related field.  
• Experience with data integration 
• Experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud infrastructure
• Office 365 Workspace
• Experience with Data Analysis
• Experience with relational database systems and ArcGIS Enterprise geodatabase
• Experience briefing or conducting demonstrations

Seattle, Washington Pay Range$85,000—$90,000 USD
