About the Client Value Stream team

The Client Value Stream at EQT empowers EQT with fit-for-purpose tools and services to deliver an excellent client experience while enhancing operational efficiency. We’re a cross-functional team collaborating closely with stakeholders across EQT to ensure data and technology strategically support client engagement and business outcomes. Our team includes tech leads, data professionals, product managers and architects who together shape the future of client interaction through scalable, data-driven solutions.

About the role

As a Data Lead in EQT’s Client Value Stream, you will play a critical role in enabling the Client Value Stream to deliver within data architecture and data delivery. You’ll lead a distributed team of data engineers and analytics professionals, ensuring the delivery of high-quality data products and insights. The role is key in driving the digital transformation of EQT’s client experience through strategic and technical leadership.

Key Responsibilities

•   Implement the EQT Tech data strategy within the Client Value Stream aligned with broader business objectives.
•   Lead a distributed team of approx. 4–5 data professionals, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
•   Oversee the development and optimization of domain data products and lead migration initiatives.
•   Partner with tech leads and architects within Tech, but also work closely with senior business stakeholders to communicate how  data solutions align with business  needs.
•   Continuously enhance Client Tech’s data infrastructure and lead investigations to ensure data quality and value delivery.

Desired Skills and Experience

• Proven experience in data leadership roles (e.g., Data Lead, Senior Data Engineer, BI/Analytics Manager).
• Hands-on experience with modern data stacks and frameworks (e.g., dbt, Snowflake, SQL, Fivetran).
• Strong ability to balance technical depth with business understanding.
• Genuine interest in business usage of data and providing high qualitative analytics capabilities.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and delivering data initiatives at scale.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Nice-to-have

• Experience with data mesh frameworks and operationalizing data governance models.
• Experience working with Salesforce Data, Sales / Service or Marketing Cloud 
• Familiarity with CRM Analytics, Tableau, PowerBI or Hex.
• Infrastructure-as-code experience, ideally with Terraform.
