Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Integration Engineer to support automation, computer vision, and material handling system projects. This role is on-site in Atlanta, GA and requires up to 80% travel across various implementation locations. The successful candidate will be embedded in UPS operations, acting as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for integration initiatives, with UPS defining the project scope of work.
You will be responsible for commissioning XLE and chat systems, developing and testing automation software, and supporting the deployment of machine learning and computer vision tools. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in complex environments, communicates effectively across technical and non-technical teams, and drives innovation at scale.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the SME for system integration projects within UPS-defined scopes.
Lead commissioning and deployment of XLE and chat-based automation solutions.
Develop, test, and troubleshoot automation software including computer vision and machine learning components.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware, software, and operations.
Perform proof-of-concept testing and incident response troubleshooting for automation systems.
Expand and apply technical knowledge across electrical systems design, wiring, and system architecture.
Ensure integration meets quality and performance standards across distributed material handling systems.
Required Qualifications
Associate degree in Electrical Technology, Computer Science, or related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
2+ years of experience in automation, bench testing, or computer vision integration.
Strong working knowledge of Linux and programming in Go and Python.
Familiarity with deep learning toolkits and system architecture for automation.
Experience with MySQL or other relational database systems is a plus.
Proven experience with incident response methods and troubleshooting in real-time environments.
Hands-on experience with control systems design and wiring.

Work Environment
Embedded within UPS operations—UPS defines scope, priorities, and deliverables.
Travel required 80% of the time; must be comfortable with extended stays on-site during deployments.
Must be adaptable and self-directed, capable of balancing technical execution with client interaction.

The base salary range for this role is $76,100 to $114,200. This base salary range represents the low and high end of the base salary range for this position. Actual base salary offered will vary based on various factors including but not limited to location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and performance.
