The Microelectronics, Design, and Applications (MDA) organization is seeking a Principal / Sr. Principal Data Management Engineer to join our team and pioneer new approaches, design and implement technologies for a computer integrated manufacturing system. You’ll work in a fast-paced team environment alongside physicists, design engineers, and superconducting foundry engineers to make these technologies a reality.

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is seeking a Principal / Sr. Principal Data Management Engineer. This position is located at the Linthicum, MD location.

What You’ll get to Do:

• Create complex data models for analysis and reporting
• Integrate various data sources into a data management platform
• Design and develop ETL and ELT processes
• Identify requirements for effective data management
• Communicate with various stakeholders to ensure data management needs are met
• Evaluate COTS tools
• Develop Data governance policies
• Document data management platform

This is a dual level requisition which can be filled as a Principal or Sr. Principal Data Management Engineer

Basic Qualifications for Principal Data Management Engineer:

• A degree in a STEM area (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) with a minimum of 5 years of experience with a bachelor’s degree, 3 years of experience with a master’s degree, or 0 years of experience with a PhD
• Experience in microelectronics manufacturing or semiconductor fabs, including experience with semiconductor computer integrated manufacturing (CIM) components
• Experience with different data storage methodologies
• Understanding of data governance
• Strong command of SQL
• Understanding of different database architectures
• Must be willing to work on site 100% of time
• Limited travel to local Northrop Grumman facilities may be required
• This position requires the applicant to be a U.S. citizen
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a US government security clearance per business requirements

• Experience in microelectronics manufacturing or semiconductor fabs, including experience with semiconductor computer integrated manufacturing (CIM) components
• Experience with different data storage methodologies
• Understanding of data governance
• Strong command of SQL
• Demonstrated experience with different database architectures
• Must be willing to work on site 100% of time
• Limited travel to local Northrop Grumman facilities may be required
• This position requires the applicant to be a U.S. citizen
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a US government security clearance per business requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

• Active US government security clearance per business requirements
• Experience with Applied Materials APF repositories
• Experience with Applied Materials Activity Manager
• Experience with Oracle RDBMS
• Experience implementing data virtualization platforms
• Experience with Tableau

Salary Range: $115,800.00 - $173,800.00Salary Range 2: $144,200.00 - $216,400.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
