THE JOB:
The Sr. Data Analyst is responsible for supporting the Casino Marketing Administration and Table Games Strategy teams. The candidate will possess a strong aptitude for data analysis, reporting, and visualization, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to derive actionable insights from complex datasets. The Sr. Data Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting various departments within the organization by providing accurate and timely reporting, analytics, and data-driven recommendations. This position offers a wide-range of recurring and ad-hoc opportunity to contribute and gain new expertise.

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Partners with business stakeholders to understand their requests and ensures a solution that meets their needs.

• Extracts, compiles, and cleans gaming and financial data from SQL server, Oracle, and various other data sources.

• Actively seeks out new opportunities to optimize capabilities while considering the down-stream impact and ensuring data integrity.

• Provides data analysis for a variety of needs to better inform decision-making; effectively communicates the narrative of the data, including trends, and/or incongruities.

• Strong aptitude for quickly troubleshooting and identifying the cause of questionable results within extracts and reports.

• Follows established service standards and procedures while ensuring that deadlines are met within time frames and quality expectations.

• Maintains a solid understanding of the Company’s goals and objectives.

• Builds dashboards and visualizations in Excel and Microsoft Power BI; conducts user-acceptance testing and data validation.

• Demonstrated business analyst experience; communicating effectively with business clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative solutions with Senior level executives.

• Analyzes issues independently, uses judgement to make decisions, and takes necessary action.

• Performs other job-related duties as requested.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Finance, Statistics, Economics, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

• 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Power BI creating dashboards and visualizations, writing SQL server code

• Proven ability to communicate complex data in a clear, compelling way to non-technical audiences

• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
