We are looking for you to join our team as a AI Software Engineer based out of San Diego, CA. As an AI Software Engineer at Northrop Grumman you will have a challenging and rewarding opportunity to be a part of our Enterprise-wide digital transformation. Through the use of Model-based Engineering, DevSecOps and Agile practices we continue to evolve how we deliver critical national defense products and capabilities for the warfighter. What You’ll Get to Do:

• Specialize in creating and implementing advanced mathematical and statistical models and algorithms for prediction, optimization, and classification challenges.
• Utilize machine learning on both structured and unstructured data for applications like pattern recognition, target detection, and decision-making systems.
• Develop cutting-edge artificial intelligence techniques to enhance autonomous systems.
• Collaborate with teams to deploy machine learning algorithms, ensuring software standards are met, and may employ multi-agent approaches to design AI software systems.
• Work closely with AI Systems Engineers to achieve better system performance through the implementation of AI techniques.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree with 2 years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree with 0 years of experience in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics or related technical fields
• Proficiency in C/C++ programming with hands-on experience in software development, software testing, verification, and validation processes
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
• Must be US Citizen
• Clearance: Candidate must currently have, and be able to maintain an active/current U.S. Government DOD Secret Clearance or higher.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Cybersecurity experience

Salary Range: $108,200.00 - $162,200.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
