We are looking for you to join our team as a AI Software Engineer based out of San Diego, CA. As an AI Software Engineer at Northrop Grumman you will have a challenging and rewarding opportunity to be a part of our Enterprise-wide digital transformation. Through the use of Model-based Engineering, DevSecOps and Agile practices we continue to evolve how we deliver critical national defense products and capabilities for the warfighter. What You’ll Get to Do:
- Specialize in creating and implementing advanced mathematical and statistical models and algorithms for prediction, optimization, and classification challenges.
- Utilize machine learning on both structured and unstructured data for applications like pattern recognition, target detection, and decision-making systems.
- Develop cutting-edge artificial intelligence techniques to enhance autonomous systems.
- Collaborate with teams to deploy machine learning algorithms, ensuring software standards are met, and may employ multi-agent approaches to design AI software systems.
- Work closely with AI Systems Engineers to achieve better system performance through the implementation of AI techniques.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree with 2 years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree with 0 years of experience in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics or related technical fields
- Proficiency in C/C++ programming with hands-on experience in software development, software testing, verification, and validation processes
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
- Must be US Citizen
- Clearance: Candidate must currently have, and be able to maintain an active/current U.S. Government DOD Secret Clearance or higher.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Cybersecurity experience
