What is an Expert Data Driven Product Engineer?

We are looking for a highly analytical and detail-oriented Expert Data Driven Product Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate should have a strong command over data cleaning, exploration, visualization, and innovative problem-solving. The candidate will play a key role in transforming raw data into actionable insights that drive strategic decisions across the organization.

The role reports directly to the Head of Product Development and Innovation.

What does Data Analyst do?

•   Design, build, and maintain interactive dashboards and reporting tools to monitor key product metrics, user engagement, and business performance across lending, savings, insurance, and investment products.

•   Conduct end-to-end data analysis using SQL, Python, and R — from data extraction and cleaning to exploratory data analysis (EDA) and insight generation for business and product strategy.

•    Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and business stakeholders to define data requirements and integrate analytics into decision-making processes.

•   Analyze customer behaviour, transaction patterns, and usage trends to identify growth opportunities and inform product enhancements.

•   Build predictive models and perform forecasting to anticipate customer needs, market dynamics, and product adoption trends using advanced statistical techniques.

•   Develop and present compelling visualizations and reports that translate complex data into actionable insights for leadership and product teams.

•    Leverage big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop, cloud platforms) to manage large-scale datasets and perform advanced analysis efficiently.

•   Design and automate recurring and ad hoc reports for various business units, ensuring timely delivery, data consistency, and clarity for both operational and strategic use.

Requirements

What are we looking for and what does it require to be Expert Data Driven Product Engineer?

·       Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus.

·       2–5+ years of professional experience in data analysis, preferably within fintech, tech, telecom, banking, or FMCG sectors.

·       Hands-on experience in working with cross-functional product teams to support product development, growth, and customer segmentation through data.

·       Proficient in SQL, Python, and R for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.

·       Familiarity with big data frameworks such as Apache Spark and Hadoop for handling large-scale datasets.

·       Expertise in data visualization and dashboarding using tools like Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or equivalent.

·       Strong understanding of statistical techniques, predictive modelling and machine learning algorithms.

·       Experience working with cloud-based data environments (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) and distributed data systems.

·       Demonstrated ability to derive actionable insights from complex datasets to influence product and business strategies.

·       Deep analytical mindset with the ability to translate raw data into clear, concise, and strategic business recommendations.

·       Strong problem-solving skills with a passion for applying data to solve real-world business challenges.

·       Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of engaging both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

·       High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy, integrity, and documentation.
