As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer with a background in Natural Language Processing at Faktion, you will be at the forefront of developing cutting-edge AI solutions for enterprises where the processing, understanding and generation of natural language is a fundamental component. This role is not just about implementing existing models; it's about pioneering new methodologies and pushing the boundaries of what's possible in natural language to solve our customer’s problems. In this position, you will leverage your deep expertise in machine learning and NLP to develop systems that understand, interpret, and generate human language in a meaningful way. You will work on complex problems such as sentiment analysis, language understanding, text generation, and speech recognition, using your skills to turn ambiguous and challenging NLP tasks into robust, scalable solutions.


Some key responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and deploy advanced machine learning models with a focus on NLP.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate NLP technologies into our products.

  • Stay abreast of the latest developments in NLP and machine learning.

  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team knowledge sharing.

  • Conduct research to improve existing models and explore innovative approaches in NLP.

  • Optimize algorithms for performance, scalability, and reliability.

  • Prepare and present technical reports and documentation.

Requirements

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in native-English or native-Dutch (French is a plus).

  • Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in machine learning, with a strong focus on NLP.

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.

  • Extensive experience with NLP libraries (e.g., NLTK, spaCy, Transformers).

  • Familiarity with machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Experience with cloud computing platforms (Microsoft Azure is a plus).


Following experiences are a plus:

  • Proven track record of developing and deploying scalable machine learning models.

  • Publications in relevant AI/ML conferences and journals.

  • Experience with in working with LLM and Foundational Models.

  • Experience in mentoring and leading technical teams.

  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

  • Experience in one of our focus domains: GenAI, Data Quality, Retail, Manufacturing, Finance
