Business Intelligence Engineer

To help us understand our data and improve customer experience we are looking for a Business Intelligence Engineer. The ideal candidate is a dynamic and analytical professional who can help shape how the company reads and interprets its data to drive better business decisions.

Responsibilities:

• Translate stakeholder and business questions into actionable insights and reports
• Design, build, and deploy BI solutions (e.g. reporting tools)
• Maintain and support data analytics platforms (currently based on Microsoft technologies)
• Conduct unit testing and troubleshoot issues in BI solutions
• Evaluate and improve existing BI systems and data pipelines
• Collaborate cross-functionally to integrate systems and data sources
• Develop and execute complex database queries and perform in-depth analyses
• Create compelling dashboards and reports using Microsoft Power BI
• Monitor and support the operation of the data warehouse, ensuring data accuracy and performance
• Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation

Requirements

• Proven experience as a BI Developer or BI Engineer
• Strong background in data analytics, data warehouse design (e.g. dimensional modeling), and/or data mining
• In-depth understanding of database management systems, OLAP, and ETL frameworks
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and Integration Services (SSIS)
• Hands-on experience with ETL processes and tools
• Familiarity with BI visualization tools (e.g. Microsoft Power BI, Tableau)
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Initiative-driven and innovative mindset
• BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
