Director of Compliance Data & Technology

Job Description SummaryGE Vernova is seeking to hire an experienced leader that can transform the Compliance organization into a data-driven, technology-enabled team with enhanced capabilities to identify and predict emerging risk for the businesses. The Director of Compliance Data & Technology will be responsible for leading the development and execution of the digital transformation roadmap on an accelerated timeline, demonstrating a return on investment within the first 12 months.  This role will partner closely with other control functions including: Finance, DT and Internal Audit. The role will report to the Chief of Staff for Compliance and will be based in the United States (with a preference for Cambridge, MA).

Essential Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership: Assess baseline technology adoption and develop strategic multi-year roadmap for the Digital Compliance Platform at GE Vernova that can support the elevation of the function to a strategic partner and driver for commercial enablement.
• Technology roadmap: Outline and execute multi-layered approach to technology/data enablement including: data quality/accessibility/integration, systems based controls, data analytics, Gen AI and automated workflows.  Oversee existing compliance tech stack and partner with functional leaders to understand opportunities for further enablement.
• Executive Communication & Buy in: Provide clear, actionable recommendations, aligned to the strategic risk profile of the Company in order to secure funding.  Plan to re-invest ROI from executed projects into the future potential opportunities.
• Advanced Analytics Execution: Lead execution of a comprehensive portfolio of high-impact analytics projects, ensuring widespread adoption and value creation. Partner with functional team to drive change management to increase speed of adoption.
• Enable data-driven Compliance: Lead development of dashboards, metrics, analytics and reporting packages to provide real-time business insights and stronger governance.  Provide continuous improvement and development to meet increasing regulatory expectations and address business needs.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner closely with DT collaborating on solution delivery and maintenance, funding approaches, clear and effective operating models, and shared subject matter expertise.  Partner with adjacent functions (e.g., internal audit, finance) to align resources and promote cross-functional opportunities to realize the digital vision faster, in a more integrated way.
• Drive Strategic Compliance Insight: Partner with the broader compliance function to support the compliance risk assessment process and assist in the development of corresponding KPIs, KRIs to be used as part of regular reporting package.
• Build out COE capabilities: Establish goals, accountability measures, needs and staffing to support centralized data and technology strategy.
• Team Leadership & Development: Lead, train and mentor a team of program managers and data analytics professionals, creating professional development pathways for the team to work on high impact projects in support of the functional goals.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Computer Science, Data Science, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, or data strategy leadership roles, with a demonstrated ability to deliver measurable business impact.
• 3+ years of experience managing teams and complex projects, with a focus on scaling analytics capabilities and driving enterprise-wide initiatives.
• Proven experience partnering with compliance, legal, audit or similar organizations to address risk.
• Strong expertise analytics frameworks, techniques and advanced analytics platforms.
• Proven ability to translate data into compelling insights that drive action and decision-making.
• Exceptional communication and executive presentation skills, with the ability to influence and align stakeholders.
• Solid understanding of AI/Machine Learning applications and experience integrating these capabilities into business workflows.
• Demonstrated success in cross-functional collaboration and building enterprise-wide capabilities for improved risk management.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a balance of strategic vision and hands-on execution.
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a global environment, set priorities and drive tasks and projects to conclusion in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong analytical, interpersonal and leadership skills with orientation toward process improvement
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Excel, PowerPoint and Word) and other analytical tools like Power BI, Python, SQL, Tableau or similar
• SAP / Oracle experience desirable
• Deep domain knowledge in key compliance risk areas (e.g., the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, turnkey projects, third parties, public procurement, competition law)
• Solid judgment, clear thinker and business sense
• Ability to create an environment of continual learning, and to change the way the compliance is working to be simpler and more adaptive.
• Ability to work horizontally to deliver outcomes.

If contracted in the US:

The base pay range for this position is $177,000 - 240,000 USD Annual. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for a performance bonus. This posting is expected to close on 7/18/25.
