Job Description

Due to growing demand for our digital, data and technology services and solutions, we are seeking to recruit an AI Developer with excellent technical knowledge and experience of designing, building, and maintaining scalable AI solutions using Microsoft Azure and related technologies. This role will be pivotal in maturing our AI practice, technically leading the development of solutions and features that will reform and transform the way we manage projects and programmes.   

The Role 

As part of the role you will: 

• Collaborate with developers, managers, and business stakeholders to understand and define components of the AI landscape and how it relates to the data strategy. 

• Understand and translate client requirements into designs and delivery plans for effective AI-enabled solutions. 

• Design, develop, execute, and maintain highly automated AI pipelines using Microsoft Azure and related technologies. 

• Analyze and resolve AI model performance issues. 

• Build, maintain, and support AI workflows and the necessary infrastructure as part of a specialist data and analytics delivery team. 

• Identify opportunities for improvement and promote these through the team, implementing improved methods and ways of working.  

• Actively mentor and develop others in the team and inspire them through commitment, enthusiasm and hand on technical outputs.  

• Foster and demonstrate an inclusive team culture focusing on service excellence and exceptional performance. 

• Take knowledge or experience and translate it into new ideas or solutions as part of our innovation approach.  

• Contribute to the development and maintenance of Tuner & Townsends documentation including policies, processes and standards.  

• Lead the development of our AI practice, working with our wider Digital team to mature of capabilities, services and solutions.  

Qualifications

Skills required for this role are: 

• Proven ability to work with: 

• Azure Machine Learning 

• Azure Cognitive Services 

• Azure Databricks 

• Azure Data Factory 

• Azure Synapse 

• Azure Analysis Services 

• LangChain 

• LangGraph 

• Azure AI Foundry 

• Experience in programming languages such as: 

• Python 

• SQL 

• Spark 

• Strong understanding of AI and Data Science concepts, including: 

• Machine Learning algorithms and frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) 

• Natural Language Processing (NLP) 

• Computer Vision 

• Statistical analysis and modeling 

• Experience with: 

• Prompt Engineering 

• Agentic Frameworks 

• Model Control Protocols (MCP) 

• Prompt Libraries 

• A good understanding of DevOps practices: 

• CI/CD (Azure DevOps preferable) 

• GIT and Version Control 

• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal – able to translate complex technical subject matter into easily understood presentations and written documentation for mixed technical audiences. 

• Practical experience in the Data Science domain. 

Desirable: 

• Experience with MLOps practices and tools such as MLFlow 

• Knowledge of data modeling techniques 

• Familiarity with container technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker 

• Experience translating designs of Azure AI solutions into action 

• Experience in collaborating in multi-disciplinary teams, including software engineers, DevOps and infrastructure teams, data scientists, etc. 

• Experience of the consulting environment with either internal stakeholders or external customers.
