About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking an Analytics Director within the Data, Analytics and Reporting (DAR) team in support of Global Operations.  DAR is the team leading the transformation of Global Operations data and analytics capabilities, driving the modernization of our platform and adoption of ML and AI techniques. DAR provides our Operations partners with analytic insights, data visualization, reporting, and decision support aimed at driving efficiencies, mitigating risk and enabling fact based decisioning in pursuit of achieving business objectives.


In this role, you will:

  • Team Leadership & Development – Manage and develop specialized teams of managers and professional individual contributors in planning, coordinating, and executing data research projects and results-oriented intelligence that support business objectives.

  • Functional Ownership – Maintain functional ownership of various aspects including technical advisory, delivery infrastructure, communication, and engagement strategy and other key strategic aspects of the function.

  • Advanced Analytics Adoption – Spearhead the usage and adoption of advanced analytic methods across the team, including machine learning, AI, and real-time analytics, staying on the forefront of emerging data technologies and tools.

  • Complex Data Solutions – Responsible for creating and overseeing extremely complex data products, predictive data models, NLP solutions, and other optimization algorithms.

  • Data Storytelling & Influence – Translate complex models into business language, tell clear and compelling data stories, and influence decision making without overwhelming stakeholders with technical detail.

  • Cross-Level Collaboration – Collaborate with and influence all levels of professionals including senior leadership to predict current and future needs and achieve consistent application of definitions, measurements, and interpretation.

  • Manager Oversight – Manage and direct multiple levels of managers to ensure effective consultation and recommendations based on data analysis.

  • Resource Management – Manage allocation of people and financial resources to ensure commitments are met and align with strategic objectives.

  • Talent Development – Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy.

  • Market Integration Strategy – Identify opportunities and strategies to integrate external market factors that impact or drive business outcomes.

  • Risk & Compliance Leadership – Interpret and develop a range of guidelines for compliance and risk management requirements for supported area and work with other stakeholders to implement key risk initiatives.

  • External Stakeholder Engagement – Interface with external agencies, regulatory bodies or industry forums.


Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

  • 4+ years of management or leadership experience


Desired Qualifications:

  • Strategic Analytics Leadership – Proven success in building and leading high-performing analytics teams that deliver insights aligned with enterprise financial goals and regulatory requirements.

  • Financial Services Expertise – Deep understanding of financial products, services, and customer behavior, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable strategies. Experience in retail banking, and or contact center analytics is highly valued.

  • Enterprise Alignment – Demonstrated ability to develop and execute analytics strategies that support business transformation, operational efficiency, and revenue growth.

  • Stakeholder Engagement – Skilled at influencing senior executives and cross-functional stakeholders through data-driven storytelling and strategic insight.

  • Regulatory & Data Governance – Strong knowledge of financial data governance frameworks (e.g., BCBS 239, GDPR, CCAR), with a commitment to data integrity, compliance, and ethical use of data.

  • Advanced Analytical Expertise – Mastery of statistical modeling, Machine Learning (ML), predictive analytics, Natural Language Processing (NLP) and data visualization tools.

  • Execution & Prioritization – Exceptional ability to manage competing priorities, drive high-impact initiatives, and deliver results in dynamic, regulated environments.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration – Adept at navigating matrixed organizations and fostering partnerships across business, technology, and compliance teams.

  • Business Acumen – Strong business analytics mindset with the ability to identify opportunities where analytics can drive customer value, reduce risk, or improve profitability.


Job Expectations:

  • Ability to work on site per Wells Fargo's standard operating model in the listed location (hybrid schedule).

  • This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship.

  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.

Pay Range
 

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.

$159,000.00 - $279,000.00
