This position is full-time, Monday to Friday, with flexible hours in Mississauga, and is exclusively on-site.

What will your day-to-day look like?

  • Lead and manage design system development for analytical systems including aerodynamics, structures, dynamics and performance.

  • Develop solutions that provide state-of-the-art productivity for the engineering and enterprise community including the effective use of optimization technology and multi-physics analysis

  • Provide technical leadership in the areas of software engineering, design systems architecture and analytical methodology development.

  • Responsible for driving projects from inception to completion.

What do you need to be successful?

  • Bachelor’s degree with 6 to 10 years’ experience or Master’s degree with 3 to 6 years’ experience in: Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science

  • Strong fluency in Python and ideally a compiled language such as C, Fortran, or Rust

  • Knowledge of Python testing frameworks such as pytest

  • Advanced experience with both Windows and Linux operating systems

  • Analytical experience in turbomachinery design, systems engineering, or controls software development

  • Experience conducting Multi-disciplinary design optimization projects (MDAO)

  • Experience running simulations on High Performance Computing (HPC) environments

  • Software development and DevOps experience

    • Experience building software using revision management systems like Git or SVN.

    • Hands-on expertise in DevOps or CI/CD tools like GitHub, Azure DevOps (ADO)

    • Experience building cloud-based Infrastructure-as-Code (IaaS) solutions on AWS is desirable

  • Experience in data analysis and machine learning an asset.

  • Practical knowledge of Agile project management and software development methodologies such as Scrum and SAFe
