The Impact of a Sr. Software Engineer, Applied AI - to Coupa: As part of the Applied AI team you will design, build, and extend the core agentic platform that powers Coupa's AI products. You will evaluate and use state of the art language models and frameworks to create the extensible platform used to power Coupa's AI strategy, working with internal product and development teams to empower them to deliver high quality AI capabilities across Coupa's product suite. You will directly participate in one of Coupa's top strategic initiatives, helping define and drive the future of Coupa's AI efforts.

What You'll Do:

• As a Senior Software Engineer in Applied AI, you will help design and build Coupa’s agentic AI platform, convert and adapt Coupa’s core offerings for AI discovery and execution, design and build Coupa’s AI product offerings and features, design and build the associated data systems, MCP servers, tools, and drive adoption of AI across technical teams. Y
• ou will collaborate with Product and Development teams to build new features and find creative and elegant solutions to complex problems. 
• As a Sr. Software Engineer, you will offer advice and review of designs and implementations and mentor others, breaking down information systematically.

What You Will Bring to Coupa:

• 4+ Years of relevant experience.

• Strong experience with Python and web technologies (Django, Flask, FastAPI)
• Strong software architecture skills
• Strong understanding of the core principles of machine learning
• Experience building large scale applications
• Experience with front end technologies (Javascript, React, CSS)
• Experience with use of LLMs as logic engines in applications
• Experience with technical mentoring or teaching others
