Business Intelligence Engineer, North America Transportation Services

NATS Transportation Planning team is looking for a customer-focused, detail-oriented, experienced Business Intelligence Engineer to provide recommendations on how to improve customer delivery performance, leveraging a toolkit of numerical methods and modeling. As a BIE, you will be responsible for defining and executing reports to drive operational excellence, exceed our customers’ expectations and achieve performance goals. In partnership with Program Managers, BIEs will expose gaps in our supply chain that leave us vulnerable to customer facing defects.

Additionally you will provide insights into operational issues, analyze the root cause and provide recommendations for improvements. Role will require data analysis, understanding of the systems workflow, cross-functional communication and issues management. The role is responsible for effectively communicating with senior management as well as with colleagues from operations and business backgrounds.

This role is inherently cross-functional—this leader will work closely with data scientists, software engineers, program management, design, operations, finance, legal, business development, customer service, and executive teams to create dashboards and bring products to production across the different Amazon transportation teams. A successful candidate will be highly analytical, resourceful, customer-focused, team oriented, and will have an ability to work autonomously under time constraints to meet deadlines. Basic Qualifications

- 2+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience
- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
- Experience with one or more industry analytics visualization tools (e.g. Excel, Tableau, QuickSight, MicroStrategy, PowerBI) and statistical methods (e.g. t-test, Chi-squared)
- Experience with scripting language (e.g., Python, Java, or R)

Preferred Qualifications

- Master's degree, or Advanced technical degree
- Knowledge of data modeling and data pipeline design
- Experience with statistical analysis, co-relation analysis

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $74,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $165,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
