Our Retail Business team is seeking a Data Analyst to join the team.  Utilising your Retail FMCG and Data Analyst experience as the successful candidate for this role, you will be responsible to establish, deliver and document the business process through data management. This involves analysing and identifying retail business opportunities to drive sustainable and profitable growth. 

This role is based in our Brisbane office in Eight Mile Plains.  Hours Monday to Friday 38hrs per week with flexible work arrangements.  

Key responsibilities include:

• Support business improvement strategies through review, and analyse of key business and commercial data
• Document business requirements and rules, and assist management with implementation of data and business rules
• Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reporting for senior management
• Preparation of deeply informed performance commentary across all periodic reporting requirements relating to sales, margin, marketing, and other performance aspects as required
• Maintain the storage and retrieval of all project communications data and business metrics
• Validate source data and facilitate decisions regarding data issues
• Manage national retail pricing analysis including 6-monthly reviews across complex client requirements
• Examine existing systems and business models, analyse business requirements and recommend improvements
• Drive continuous improvement and help evolve the consumer ranging process in line with strategic objectives.

To be successful, you’ll need:  

• Degree qualification in Accounting or similar Business related disciplines
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Power BI
• Demonstrable and relevant experience in the retail FMCG sector 
• Able to communicate effectively with stakeholders at different levels of the organization
• Microsoft SQL Server Analysis and Reporting (SSRS) (intermediate)
• Ability to influence teams with a constant dedication to understand, question and improve the business outcomes
