NVIDIA is seeking an engineering leader to continuously raise the standard for DriveOS product excellence and ensure the highest standards of quality, dependability and user experience. Our globally-distributed team works at a fast pace, but we prioritize quality and long-term maintainability above all else. You will lead a software organization of experts and professionals in all aspects of automotive software quality, process engineering and automation. You will be responsible for definition, assurance and continuous improvement of the DriveOS software process and product quality rapidly embracing many generative AI and LLMs to improve effectiveness and efficiency of the development workflows.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Lead an organization of quality, safety, cybersecurity managers and process automation engineers
Establish DriveOS process model and implementation to harmonize quality, functional safety and cybersecurity domains
Define measurable and objective DriveOS quality characteristics and metrics
Identify and drive process implementation and automation initiatives
Leverage GenAI, formal verification and be on a lookout for new methods to improve process efficiency and effectiveness
Handle DriveOS compliance with NVIDIA internal and industry standards
Establish and track DriveOS product and process quality roadmap
Set quality goals for DriveOS releases, manage execution, establish release readiness checks and gates
Drive alignment in a highly matrixed organization across product and program management, DriveOS architecture, engineering, internal and external customers, NVIDIA process and quality organizations
What we need to see:
Bachelors or a higher degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science or a related field
15+ overall years of proven experience in a similar or related role, and relevant experience in automotive software development field
7+ years of consistent record of building engineering teams and raising strong leaders
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to drive alignment across large organizations
In-depth understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle and V-model
Practical knowledge of industry standards including ASPICE, ISO 25010, ISO 26262, ISO 21434
Ways to stand out from the crowd:
Experience with Generative AI tools (LLMs) to facilitate software development
Background with data analysis tools/languages
Successful implementation of a quality system in an automotive product organization
Experience in autonomous vehicle software field
Experience working in a multi-cultural, global environment
