Senior Analytics Engineer

Finom is looking for a Senior Analytics Engineer to join our freshly-formed Data team. We're building a Lakehouse from scratch on Databricks, and we’d love to bring someone on board who’s excited to shape things from the ground up.

What You Will Be Doing

• Collaborate with the Data Product Manager to design and implement data governance and data quality processes, while scoping and delegating tasks to data engineers
• Gather and translate data requirements from stakeholders including ML engineers, data analysts, and product managers into technical solutions
• Analyze data and design data marts to support various business domains
• Tackle all sorts of unique, non-standard challenges that come with building a Lakehouse from scratch

Who You Are

• Experienced as an analytics engineer or analyst on technical projects involving data management or analytical platform implementation
• Strong SQL skills for analytical tasks and reporting
• Confident in gathering business requirements and translating them into technical specifications
• Familiar with working alongside data engineers or ETL developers
• Hands-on experience setting up business processes from scratch
• Proactive and autonomous, comfortable working with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
• Background in banking or fintech is a plus
• Python skills for automation, orchestration, or data analysis are a plus
• Languages: English (full working proficiency) – must; Russian (basic working proficiency) – is a plus
