Your territory

As part of our Data team, you will:

  • Lead an enthusiastic team of data engineers who build highly reliable, large-scale data pipelines, enabling fast, trustworthy insights and data-driven decisions across Tractive
  • Oversee the architecture and quality of our data systems, ensuring they are secure, observable, cost-efficient, and built to scale with millions of pet-location events per minute

  • Excellent project management and communication skills; able to balance strategic vision with hands-on execution while collaborating across Product, Analytics, and Engineering
  • Hands-on proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK) and container orchestration
  • Deep understanding of data lakehouse architectures, event streaming, and performance tuning for large-scale workloads
  • Practical knowledge of data governance: data contracts, cataloging, lineage, access controls, and GDPR-grade retention policies
  • Experience in implementing monitoring, alerting, and cost-optimization strategies for data pipelines and storage
  • A proactive, solution-oriented mindset, driven by results and keen on continuously improving processes and tools
