We are seeking a Product Marketing Director - Cross AI Platform to establish this cross-platform solution as the preferred offering to drive a billion new applications and agents to market, accelerate app modernization initiatives and bring AI into the core of nearly every business application and the app development lifecycle and toolchain. This leader will report directly to the General Manager for Digital and App Innovation as a dedicated member of the business unit’s marketing leadership team.
This individual will play a critical role in defining the cross-platform narrative and driving success and growth for the platform, while working closely with technical and business leaders across Azure, from Data and AI to core infrastructure.

Responsibilities
- Defining the core marketing strategy and product narrative for Copilot and AI stack
- Curating high impact messaging and core product themes and pillars aligned to Microsoft’s vision for the AI application platform, market trends and customer value points, AI use cases and customer impact, surfacing these themes consistently through a proactive messaging and content program that aligns core messaging, and major product themes to new product introductions, partner expansion, major events and launches and key solution milestones along with proactive, always-on initiatives aimed at core audiences.
- Collaborating across Microsoft to define how core AI, Data, Developer and infrastructure services align to support the stack architecture, strategy and value proposition
- Driving market leadership for the stack, working with growth leaders to guide strategies for customer acquisition, adoption and customer advocacy.
- Bringing the stack value to life with customers through user stories, demos, and scenarios.
- Partnering across multiple business units and our global partner organization to achieve annual revenue and engagement growth priorities, business targets, monetization strategies, plans, and metrics.
- Delivering sales enablement and field support, including ongoing collaboration across the sales, partner, and engineering organizations to develop sales ready collateral to support new product announcements, updates, portfolio changes and annual solution programs. Develop content that best resonates with customer value and drive to high utilization and value with global field teams. Create a feedback loop with Sales to ensure their buy in, utilization and continuous improvement. Create strategic partnerships and participate in pre-sales meetings with customers.
- Supporting major launch moments, executive disclosures, corporate events and key industry milestones to communicate this critical product strategy clearly, consistently and with maximum impact.
- Driving Portfolio Planning to ensure that product roadmaps across all areas of the stack are launched with clarity and that new and enhanced products advance Microsoft leadership and strategic marketing themes.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 4+ years experience in business
- OR Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 6+ years experience in business
- OR equivalent experience.
- 4+ years of experience running large-scale messaging initiatives in a matrixed organization.
Preferred Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience running large-scale messaging initiatives in a matrixed organization.
- Experience with AI, enterprise applications and developers.
- Experience with messaging and content development.
- Demonstrated ability to drive new and enhanced products to market, with tangible impact.
- Deep understanding of customer needs and requirements across business objectives, application strategies, technical requirements and outcomes.
- Aptitude for quickly learning new and emerging technologies.
- Ability to clearly communicate from the perspective or the customer.
- Project management, critical thinking and cross-group collaboration skills.
- Understanding of Sales strategy/enablement, priorities of field and partner teams.
Product Marketing IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $130,900 - $251,900 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $165,600 - $272,300 per year.
